Swimming with Dolphins

It's hard to believe that I fulfilled another one of my
childhood dreams only three weeks ago or so on a brief trip to the Bahamas, and that was swimming with dolphins and being propelled
by my feet by these animated
creatures across a lagoon. I
have taken some risks that I
normally would not have taken when I was younger. Maybe that is one of the gifts you receive from getting older: more clarity
and confidence in yourself.
I did come back with a renewed sense of accomplishment, although I know it doesn't compare with
climbing a mountain or hiking to enormous summits.
Every day as the artist is like that swim...filled with
awe and wonder, and a trial
of new experiences. ICK! Didn't mean to sound syrupy,
just content with having taken on the simplest pleasures and letting go of
some of my greatest fears.
